Mango Flavour Lemon Iced Tea

Flavoured tea, of any flavour is an easy way to impress anyone. It is a refreshing welcome drink for guests as well as for the husband 😉 , after he comes back from work. With mercury soaring high in most parts of the country, drinks with fruits are a good way to stay hydrated. This is definitely a healthier and wallet-friendly alternative to packaged drinks.

Mango Flavored Iced Tea
Mango is one fruit that everyone likes, though each one has a favourite variety. I have sat through arguments when one person from Kolkatta would say Langda is best, a person from Lucknow will say Dussheri, friends from Western India will fight for Alphanso to be crowned as best and friends from Bangalore will bet on Mallika or Badami being the best. Each one has a favourite. Since I have had the privilege of having friends and family from all parts on India I usually get a box of local variety from them.

I can have mango at any time of the day in any form. I made this mango iced tea for friends who were coming at a short notice. The base of lemon iced tea remains similar to that of passion fruit lemon iced tea, but a little milder. You can make this drink a day or two in advance.

Mint Ice cubes are a great way of garnishing. Put some mint leaves in the ice tray along with water and keep it in the freezer to freeze. Mint will be fresh and retain it’s colour.
