
I like to try and make the most out of seasonal fruits. So it’s cherries again… :). It does not have any artificial flavors, lemon acts as natural preservative, so absolutely safe for kids 🙂

- 1 Kilo Cherries , washed, cleaned and pitted
- 1 Kilo Sugar
- 3 Orange Juice
- 2 Lemon Juice
- 1 Tablespoon Orange rind
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Rind

Instructions
- Mix Cherry , Sugar, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, Rinds
- Cook for 5-10 minutes on high flame, when sugar dissolves, lower the flame
- Cook for almost 40-45 minutes or till jam is prepared , stir occasionally,
- how to determine if the jam is cooked: put a spoon in the freezer for 5 minutes, take it out and put a drop of jam. If you are able to make a clear line cutting across the jam , jam is ready
- Store in clean, dry bottles. Makes almost 4 bottles.

OMG, you’ve just inspired me to do this with the mulberries growing wild in my backyard. Should work, no? Except that, unlike cherries, they’re on the tart side.
