Chatpate Aloo – Spicy Potato Starter

I picked up these baby potatoes from the market and made this Chatpate Aloo or Spicy potato starter.

The best part of making this Spicy potato starter is that it does not take much time. Most of the time required is for boiling and pealing potatoes. Once the potatoes are boiled it takes only about 7 minutes.

When I host parties, I prefer to keep a few starters that are either freshly made and served hot or can be reheated. These potatoes can be made earlier and reheated. For younger kids these may be a little spicy , and therefore you need to adjust the Chilly powder ratio.
