Like my previous post on toor daal side dish made from potato is a must for many house hold in India. Daal , Rice and Aloo ki sabzi is all that you need , especially in summers.

We had a hectic week and weekend turned out to be even more stressful as dad in law was not well. So i decided to go for a simple meal . For some odd reason under stress you get a lot of comfort doing things that you did as a kid, or eating the simple home cooked food.

I try and use minimal oil in my cooking, but did not have much time for cooking too. So thought of frying the potatoes , but somehow could not dare to deep fry potatoes. So the Airfryer came handy. One can also bake potatoes in an oven at 220 to 230 degrees for 15 – to 20 minutes.

What style of Aloo subzi is this/ UP? Love the sound of it, and a good use of my airfryer too! want to try soon.

Hi Nandita, yes this is UP style. Earlier it was cooked in its steam, but that used to make potatoes soft , with airfryer it keeps the crunch and no guilt of deep frying 🙂 !!
