Bhatura (Plural Bhature) is a an Indian bread made with all purpose flour, curd, baking powder are used as leavening agents. Chole Bhauture is a very popular street food in North India, especially Punjab & Delhi. It is one of the specialities of my Mother and and my brother’s favourite dishes. I remember when we were kid’s, mom would make it on festivals when all our cousins would come home.

Ingredients
- 500 Grams Maida Plain Flour -
- 1.5 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 Teaspoons Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Sooji
- 1 cup Curd
- water for kneading
- Oil for frying

Instructions
- Sift maida and Baking powder.
- Mix Sooji, Sugar
- Mix curd.
- Add water to make soft dough
- Keep it in warm place for 5-6 hours or overnight ( cover it with blanket if temp is low)
- Before frying punch it down and knead for a minute. Make small balls ,roll and fry.Note traditionally Bhaturas are not rolled but hand tossed.
